Gas flushing is a process that extends shelf life on perishable products. But how does it work?
Flushing with inert gases such as carbon dioxide and nitrogen is similar to vacuum sealing, in that it excludes oxygen from the atmosphere, except that in flushing, more gas is put into the bag rather than taken out.
Our Flexipol and Synpac gas flush bags, pouches and dolav liners are recognised as some of the highest quality available in the UK. Across British food manufacturers and processors, Synpac gas flush pouches are used by meat processors, poultry cutting plants, restaurants and fruit and vegetable processors.
Manufactured using a multi-layer co-extruded film, our gas flush pouches and dolav liners (also known as modified atmosphere packaging – MAP) offer high tensile strength and improve gas barrier properties to achieve maximum shelf life.
Our gas flush pouches are suitable for sous vide cooking as well as microwave and freezing. Our material and composition can be adapted to suit the requirements of each individual’s applications.
We stock over 40 different sizes of bags and pouch, available for immediate despatch. With our fast turnarounds, we can manufacture bespoke sizes and keep up with unexpected customer demands.
We can print these with EC logos for ease of identification, and can supply in different colours. Alternatively, we can offer advanced flexographic printing.
Our gas flush pouches, bags and dolav liners are used for a wide variety of products including meat, fish, sauces, prepared fruit and vegetables.
Flexipol’s experienced team can help provide the correct gas flush bag suitable for your requirements.
